Our mission is to seek out and create opportunities for live music performance and to connect talented artists from the nearest communities so listeners can enjoy these hidden gems and musicians can thrive in an environment that supports them.

Biography

William Amelang was born in Houston, Texas, to a large family full of musicians. Though music has always been an integral part of his life, the journey truly began in 2006 when he studied percussion for two years under an exceptional and inspiring teacher and with a supportive peer group with several phenomenal drummers. in 2010 he began performing with a variety band—first as the drummer, then as vocalist, then eventually as guitarist as well. Performing jazz, blues, country, and rock music was and always will be a tremendously rewarding experience, but there came a time when gigging had to take a back seat so that he could tend to Discount Trees of Brenham during this time of significant growth and transition in the company.

Not ready to turn completely away from the music scene, William's 'day job' responsibilities turned out to be the impetus that gave birth to A1 Talent Network, putting to good use the experience William gained from years of booking bands and playing shows. The agency was born in 2014 and has since helped independent artists navigate the way to making honest livings in the music industry, having generated over $30,000 in live music services to date.
